Ladies n Gents,
Bored of the day to day office regime, this last weekend me and 2 of my friends we planned for a much deserved break from work life. We thought of heading to Simla, rent a bike from there, ride to Sarahan and come back. So i, Pankaj and Pulkit left for Simla on friday evenin, just to realize that there are no bike rentals in Simla.
(NOTE: If anybody knows any one who rents bike from Simla, please to forward me the contact details of the person. i would be really thankful to you.)
Well, we couldnt just stay in Simla, since its full of tourist and boring. We took a cab and headed straight towards Sarahan, intending to halt at all worthwile places on the way. Our first halt was at Kufri..where we posed a lil bit....
Apples were just budding...Some of the best apples of Asia come from Himachal...
n yu seeing some of them...
Thats a Sand Brown.. It was just a few month old..as the owner told me...they grow much taller than this...n they huge really huge!!!!!!!!!!!
One the way, we stopped for a lil break, jus few miles before Narkanda...there was this small valley...we told the driver to take some rest and headed straight into it... every step took us deep inside to give some fabulous view...It was from here where we actually planned to trek to the Summit of this feature...
It was really steep... no path was defined...we jus followed small paths made by goats and herds...not thinking how difficult getting down would be!!!!!!!!!!
now see where i am standing... then see behind me... and we went up straight....superb fun...
Gents please excuse me for the picture quality..they from my cell phone since my camera battery was down and out....
Pulkit had a real tuff time climbing uphill.. tough he was better going down hill......
You see those roads... we came up fom there....
Just the scale of elevation... downstairs is Pulkit and above is Pankaj...Picture taken by me....imagine the gradient.....
almost on top of the feature...a tragedy strikes.... Flat grounds.. oval in shape...all grass flattenned around these spots....strong smell of urine.... the only thing that came to our minds..... BHALUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Bear)... dint have enough courage after that to stay there....so we started moving back to the car...
on the EDGE!!!!!!!!!!
Since we had travelled long distance...we decided to stay at a place called Narkanda...Narkanda is a town situated at an attitude of 2708 meters on the Hindustan Tibet road (NH-22) in Himachal Pradesh. From our hotel we got the view of the Tibetian Himalays as well as the Srikand Mahadev (20,215 ft), Kinner Kailash, Pin Parbati Range and many other peaks..
We spent our evening watchin a cricket tournament at Narkanda....Imagine playin cricket on a height of almost 10000ft....
Had a nice bornfire session after our dinner and went off to sleep early to catch the Sunrise behind Srikand Mahadev....
I tried to capture it as well as i could...i surly need a better Camera....anyways..check this out...
Once the Sun was up....we had some fabulous Pahadi breakfast...and were off straight to Delhi...

Yet another small trip...lots of Fond memmories to take back....A bike would have been Icing on the Cake...not a problem.. i am still happy with what i got form the Mountains....

Cheerssss to Life!!!!!!!

Regards,
